Bhavan Celebrates Colour Week in Style Children relate everything that they see with colors. They like to learn and experiment with colors in their first step towards learning. Imbibing this thought, the kindergarten wings of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, viz. Jack And Jill, Pearl Nursery and IES celebrated yet another Colour Week from April 17 – 21 magnificently on their premises. A week-long celebration, witnessed many a tiny tot come dressed in specific colours and enjoy their schools at their best. Colours leave lasting impressions in the minds of the kids. The colour week started off brilliantly seeing the little ones dressed up in red on April 17th, followed by yellow, blue, green and celebrating the Rainbow Day on April 21st. The tiny tots reported to their places of learning wearing different colours. They were taught to relate to objects with the specific colour which they wore each day. It was indeed a feast for the eyes to see the tiny tots with gleaming faces all around. The activities of the day began with an introduction of the color and objects relating with the color, and other colouring activities. Each day, the bulletin boards of the nurseries were decorated with pictures of objects having the specific colour and photographs of the children standing against them. Colour plays a significant role in everyone’s perceptions. By the end of such a colourful week, the kids became truly aware of the colours and the world around them. The week marked each young Bhavanite’s achievement of the first milestone towards learning at kindergarten. It helps them prepare to go ahead and explore more arenas of knowledge through observations and experiments that play a vital role in their all-round developments. Hats off to the excellent kindergarten department at Bhavan that offers the best system of learning through creative ways that enhance and nurture children into bright youngsters which the world is very much in need of today!
