                                                                         By Sanaul Shaheer (Grade 12)
A career counselling session, a joint effort of four different universities, was organized for the students of classes 11 and 12 of Indian Educational School, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kuwait on Monday, the 2nd of May 2017. The representative and CEO of the four different universities Mr. Girish presided over the session. It was a truly ennobling experience, leaving the aspiring audience unequivocally enlightened about the options that were available for them for further studies in the U.S.A. The program commenced with a general overview of education in the United States, and the several benefits of enrolling in one of its numerous educational institutions. In a short while, the talk had narrowed down to the  admittance  rates in various colleges and the various scholarship options.  After Mr. Girish’s edifying presentation, representatives from four prestigious colleges in the U.S took the dais, and conducted four individual presentations regarding the colleges they represented. The presentations focused on the campus, admittance rates and the various courses offered by each institution.  The aspiring scholars who thronged to grab the opportunity to clear their reservations on career options were offered informative brochures. The entire session was extremely gratifying, as this was the first time the students were given an opportunity to interact with the representatives from four prominent educational institutions. Moreover, it was a real eye opener to the scope of education and career options in the U.S.  Clearing the air of uncertainty, the students left the auditorium gratified and optimistic, envisaging a handful and more of successful career options to choose from.
