Students around the globe are fortunate enough to have a wide range of opportunities to explore the real life experience of being a part of trekking, mountaineering, camping, campaigning, and many other life reinforcing activities like NCC, NSS, SCOUT etc.

Unfortunately the kids in Kuwait are denied these chances in their formative stage of their life. Indian Educational School, Kuwait has given a serious thought to it, and has decided to embark on a new project of launching a student voluntary organization, BSS (Bhavans Service Scheme) which envisages compensating the missing chapters of their life.

BSS launched in Kuwait on 11th April, 2015

BSS with a vision to equip our children with the strength to face challenges in life and to help them nurture the attitude of service and sacrifice was inaugurated befittingly by Rtd. Major General Mohammad Mubarak on 11th April, 2015. Now, BSS has successfully completed its second year and stepping into its third year of its service

Activities undertaken are ꟷ
March-past & Drill Classes
Compulsory training in swimming
Stay in camps (Inside or outside school campus)
Campaigns (cleaning, walkathon)
Service Camps
Disaster Management Classes (Safety & First Aid)
Rope climbing
Sessions on Social Service & Value Education

To enhance the character, comradeship, discipline, leadership skills and the ideals for rendering selfless service to society and to fellow students. Who can participate? All boys and girls of classes 5 to 8


Every Saturday (9.00 am to 12.30 pm) except 4th Saturday of every month.


Transport will be provided only for school transport users. Private and parent pick up students have to arrange their own transport.

Added advantages
  1. Ex-officio Volunteers for all school programs.
  2. Marching team for our sports day.
  3. BSS volunteers will get extra credit points towards the selection of Bhavan all – rounder/ pearl of the school etc.
  4. Course completion certificate will be given from Bhavans Head Office, Mumbai.
  5. All volunteers will be provided 2 sets of uniform.
  6. Refreshments will be provided on all activity days.
BSS Badges & Stars

“BSS JUNIOR” badge – One who is selected to join BSS will receive this badge in his/her first year.

“BSS SENIOR” badge – One who successfully completes first year by clearing the eligibility test and selected to continue his/her second year will receive.

“BSS JC” badge – One who successfully completes his/her second year and willing to continue their service by clearing the eligibility test will receive JUNIOR COMMANDER Badge.

BHAVANS GCC BSS CERTIFICATE: Cadets all who successfully completes 2 years of his/her BSS
service will receive.

“BSS STAR”: Cadets with 100% attendance, Cadets who attends 2 or more service camps, Best Cadet of the year will receive BSS STAR.

Minimum 75% attendance is compulsory to receive BSS certificate.

All BSS related information and weekly schedule will be sent through email.

Fee to be paid

A non-refundable annual contingency charge of KD 50/- has to be paid by each member towards 2 sets of BSS uniform and refreshments on all activity days.

BSS Registrations Open...

BSS registration is open for the new academic year 2017-2018, Students those who are newly joining in BSS, please do attend the selection during your Physical Education periods this week. Students those who are selected to join BSS, kindly fill the attached Registration Form, Medical Declaration Form, Form of Indemnity and submit in the school office along with the BSS Annual contingency fee KD.50/-. The First BSS session of this academic year will start on 13th May 2017.
