It was a moment of great pride when Indian Educational School, Kuwait was crowned the ‘Best Performing School’ among 17 Indian schools all over Kuwait at the Annual Science Gala organized by Science International Forum, Kuwait. The ceremony was held on 12 April 2019 at the Indian Community School, Khaitan. IES took possession of the much coveted ‘Acharya JC Bose Award’ for the fourth consecutive year, thus establishing its supremacy, as an invincible contestant in the field of Science. Among the budding scientists, Manha Anees of class 6, Nevin Noji Vaidyan of class 8, and Vishnu Balram of class 10 emerged victorious and were declared the winners of Sastra Pratibha Contest. The proud team of students and teachers, under the able guidance of its captain, Mr. T. Premkumar, the Principal, IES was honoured in the midst of jubilations. The school Sasthra Pratibha coordinator 2018-19, Ms. Deepashree T.C was also felicitated by SIF. The Kuwait Children’s Science Congress (KCSC) was held on 23 November 2018, Friday at Indian Central School, Abbasiya. The team comprising Natasha Martha Fernandes, and Sandra Santhosh was declared as winner in the senior category with A+ grade and qualified for nationals. Two other teams comprising Shreya V Arun, Marushka Rita Fernandes and Sarah Parvesh, and Jogesh Sriram Radhakrishna were recognised as outstanding performers with ‘A’grade. The winners and outstanding performers of Kuwait Children’s Science Congress and their guides were felicitated in the Annual Science Gala. These promising scientific scholars are expected to extend their unique contribution to the world and bring along many more laurels to the school.
