The Social Science department celebrated Gandhi Jayanthi on 2nd October in the school to commemorate the birthday of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, a pioneer of truth and non-violence. The programme began with the morning assembly highlighting the significance of the day. All the school bulletin boards were exhibited with the quotes and pictures of the great work done by Gandhi. The students saw a video on Gandhiji’s life and reflected on the great work done by him for India. The students paid homage and sang Gandhiji’s favorite song “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram, Patit Pavan Sita Ram”. A tableau was presented by the students of grade 6 on Gandhiji’s Salt Satyagraha. Following the principles of Gandhi, a ‘Swachh Bhavan’ campaign was organized by the students, who cleaned the campus and the surrounding, spreading the message of maintaining a clean environment, to all around.
