IES Students visit ABK Bank

  Indian Educational School, (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kuwait conducted a bank visit for their senior secondary commerce batches of students. The event for the 40 students from IES was held at the Al Hawally training Center of Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait. It was a day full of learning and enlightenment. The students got a chance to step out of their routine classroom environment, and get connected to the real Business World. They not only got an insight on learning banking but different aspects of Business including Finance, Public Relations, Marketing, Human resource and Information Technology. This extremely well-structured and interesting training session began with a fun filled ice breaker followed by a presentation on the Banking System in Kuwait, and the Vision and Mission of Al Ahli Bank by zestful and enthusiastic Mr. Abdullah Behbehani and Ms Fatima. Through the highly interactive session by Ms Fajr Al Kindari from the Public Relations department the students learnt about Corporate Social Responsibility, writing a press release etc. The students were very keen to know more about taking Public Relations as their career. They were taken around in small groups to the different sections of the bank and explained in detail about the Banking operations by Mr Abdul Wahab. Mr. Paulson & Mr. Sebastian explained complex financial matters in a clear and very simple manner and lived up to what Al Ahli Bank Says “Re-imaging to a simpler Bank” which doesn’t mean doing simple things but doing it in a simpler way. The session with the HR and the insights on internship and interviews was very informative for the students who see themselves as BANKERS OF TOMORROW. Students together with their teachers returned to their school crediting a lot of enriching memories to their knowledge bank, and depositing in return their spotless gratitude to the bank management and a lot more adorable impressions about their school.
