An intra- school quiz competition on Sardar Vallabhai Patel was held on 17 October at the IES auditorium. The quiz was hosted to commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary freedom fighter, Sardar Vallabhai Patel, which falls on 31 October. Mr. Amitabh Ranjan, the Second Secretary, the Embassy of India to Kuwait for Press, Information, Culture, and Education wing, graced the occasion. The Principal of Indian Educational School, Mr. T. Premkumar, and the Vice- Principals, Mrs. Anselma Tessy, Mrs. Jaemi Byju, and Mrs. Lalitha Premkumar cheered the quizzers with their presence. The warmest welcome was offered to the gathering by Mr. Binoy Mathew, the Head of the Department of Social Science. Mr. Binoy outlined the selfless service of the great leader Sardar Vallabhai Patel. After a brief introduction of the quizzers and quizmasters, the battle of wits took place, keeping the spirit of quizzing at its best. After a well-fought battle, Reyna Mary John (8F) and Krishna Chillirickal Anil (9D) made it to the first place. Nevin Noji Vaidyan (8D) and Ashutosh Bhat (8A) bagged the second place. Mr. Amitabh Ranjan felicitated the winners and the participants with certificates of merit. Mr. Amitabh contemplated on the selfless sacrifice made by the leaders of our country for the freedom of our country and reflected on the responsibility resting on each one to live up to the ideals of hard earned freedom. Mr. Amitabh Ranjan was honoured with a beautiful memento as a token of our appreciation and gratitude. The exciting event came to a memorable closing as Mr. Sriee Aswathaman G.N the Head of the Department of French proposed the vote of thanks.
