M.A. B.Ed. Joined the Bhavan’s team in October 2006, Mrs Fathima Jothy is a post-graduate in English Literature from the renowned Madras University. She is a GOLD MEDALIST in Bachelor of Education in English and History from the reputed University of Pondicherry. Her passion for French as a foreign language, resulted in her ‘Degré Moyen’ et ‘Degré Elémentaire’, (1986 -1988) from the National Institute of France, “Alliance Française”, in Pondicherry, affiliated to the Embassy of France at New Delhi, India. As a dedicated, sincere and innovative teacher, she has served as a teacher of English, Social Science and French for different levels, in India, UAE and Kuwait for a long period of 21 years. Being a very good disciplinarian, she was appointed House Mistress in the Abu Dhabi Indian School, to carry out the day to day activities of the school, Inter House Activities, supervise the assembly and discipline in coordination with the other staff members and office bearers of her house. The Abu Dhabi Indian School honoured her exemplary service by awarding her with two gold medals, one for being a Merritorious Teacher and the other for her Long & Dedicated Services. She has also coordinated, assisted and participated in various inter school activities like the “Enviro-Spellathon” conducted by Environmental Research & Wildlife Development Agency, “ ELT Project” conducted by the Abu Dhabi Indian School, “Seminar for CBSE Teachers” conducted by the Jabriya Indian School, “Source-Full Education” conducted by Indian Educational School, Kuwait, etc. She is also the author of two books in French for the Primary. Positive attitude, passion for teaching, love for children and inspiring motivation are the secrets of her popularity amongst students, wherever she worked.
