Bhavans Rhythmscapes, the cultural wing of Bhavans Middle East organized the auspicious Navarathri celebrations from September 29 to October 8 2019 at IES. The ceremonial lamp was lit by the Chairman of Bhavans Middle East Mr. N.K. Ramachandran Menon, the Principal of Jack and Jill Mrs. Rathi Raveendran, the Principal of Smart Indian School Mr. Mahesh Iyer, and Mrs. Rajeshwari Mahesh Iyer. The Principal of Indian Educational School, Mr. T.Premkumar and the Vice Principals graced the occasion. The Bhavanites were enthralled by varieties of classical dances, concerts, bhajans, and devotional chants performed by the students, parents, and the gurus of Bhavans Rhythmscapes. The devotees worshipped the divine energy that gives strength and courage to overcome all the hurdles of life. Soul – rendering classical concerts and bhajans performed by Bhavans Middle East Euphonic Strings, the first musical band in Kuwait filled the spectators with devotion and positivity. Celebrations took a twist when the teachers, parents, and students of Bhavans Kuwait gathered in the school premises for the ‘Open Garba Dance’ creating an aura of festivity and sheer happiness. ‘Vidyaramabam’ ceremony observed on the Vijayadasami Day saw the devotees taking part in the traditional rituals with utmost reverence. Special preparations were made for the ceremony of ‘Vidyarambam’ where young children were introduced to the world of knowledge, music, dance and other forms of art. Navarathi celebrations mark the symbolic journey from humanness to divinity thereby reminding people of the real goal of human life. By organizing such celebrations, Bhavans aims to be a trailblazer in propagating and preserving the teachings and understanding of the Indian culture, art and philosophy among the Indian diaspora in the Middle East.
