Ramadan is the month of the Holy Quran; a time to devotedly recite the surahs, reflect on their meaning and assimilate the gist of the divine verses into our lives. To celebrate the holy month of Ramadan, and in order to share our blessings, IES Kuwait organized its annual charity food drive in which dry food items donated by the students and their families were collected for the purpose of charity. The IES management and the student supreme council have decided to honour the helping staff of IES who work relentlessly and selflessly as caretakers of the school with tokens of love and care collected from the student community in the form of dry food items ands provisions. On Tuesday May 28, 2019 during the recess, the 22 bags laden with dry food and provisions met their most deserving owners. Each was lit with happiness and gratitude as they received the bags from the head boy Daniel Thomas and the head girl Liana Joseph along with the deputy head girl Farah Noorjahan. The helping staff thanked the school management and students for the generous donation. The student council that played a crucial part in inspiring the students to donate also rejoiced the occasion with the lessons learnt on philanthropy and largesse. The value-based education policy of Bhavans Middle East has undoubtedly chiselled and is chiselling many a noble soul as envisaged by its founder Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon.
