The students, who believe that teachers can change lives with just the right mix of chalk and challenges expressed their heartfelt gratitude to them by hosting a cultural extravaganza on September 6, 2018 on account of Teachers’ Day. The student council members took up the onus of organizing the day’s programme and to make this day memorable for the pedagogues. The day’s events commenced with the inauguration of the newly christened corridors named after eminent personalities like Vivekananda, J.C. Bose, Dr. Radhakrishnan, Sarojini Naidu, Chanakya, Aryabhatta, Tagore and Abdul Kalam. The council members did the honours in the presence of the Principal, Vice-Principals and the Heads of the various Departments. After a sumptuous lunch, the teachers gathered in the auditorium, where they were welcomed warmly by the council members. The moments that followed were mesmerizing as the teachers were under the spell of the students who made them sing, dance, play games and also relive moments that filled their hearts with never-ending joy. Cakes and muffins were also served to make their day sweeter. As someone rightly said, the students we try to inspire, end up inspiring us. It made the teachers realize that to teach is to touch a life forever.
