The Annual Exhibition 2017 on ‘Incredible India’ was indeed incredible. The exhibition was formally inaugurated by the chief guest, Mr. Harjeet Sawhney, the country manager of Air India. The joint venture of the social and language departments was nothing but a memorable journey through the various states of India. Anyone who stepped into the state was left spellbound by their experience as the atmosphere came to life with the people clad in their traditional attire, the monuments that had stories to share and the exclusive cuisine for the tired and hungry visitors. Every state seemed unique as they extended a warm welcome and hospitality to all those who visited their place. After the feast for the eyes, it was food for the mind. The famous authors were on stage to glorify their characters while, they in turn spoke about their creator who had given them life and a place in the hearts of people. The lively dancers brought the audience under their sway. Another highlight was the ‘Puppet Show’ which captured the hearts of many. The other attractions were ‘nukkat natak’, folk-dance shows, poetry recitation and character portrayals from ‘the Mahabharata and ‘the Ramayana. It seemed to be a one-day trip to India that revived fond memories and kindled the patriotic spirit in one and all.
