R Ambedkar. The virtual celebration was under the auspices of the Social Science department, steered by the event coordinator Mr. Nagarajan Murugesh, a member of Social Science Department. The students from grade 5 to 10 were given the golden opportunity to take part in a plethora of absorbing activities during the respective Social Science periods. Grade 6 students made inventive posters to generate awareness on importance of social justice in today’s world and to emphasize that everyone deserves equal economic, political, social rights and opportunities.  Grade 7 students enthusiastically drafted speeches  on varied topics like ‘Who was B.R Ambedkar?’, ‘How was the Indian constitution framed?’, ‘Name the great personalities who drafted the constitution and their contributions in brief’ and ‘Why is our constitution known as living document?’. Bio sketches of Ambedkar and K.M Munshi (the member of Constituent Assembly and Founder of Bhavans) were prepared by students of grade 8.  The students of grade 9 delivered speeches on social hierarchy all around the world and its impact on the society.  Grade 10 students gave rhetoric speeches on hypothetical situations referring to Ambedkar’s response to conflicting issues and challenges faced in the present day India.
