World Children’s Day was first established in 1954 as Universal Children’s Day and is celebrated on 20 November each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children’s welfare. Bhavans Indian Education School celebrated  Children’s Day on 19 November, 2020, on its virtual platform. The celebrations commenced with a video message from the Director of Bhavans Middle East, Ms. Divya Rajesh. While addressing the children, she shared her thoughts and experiences on how to make childhood the best stage of their life. Mr. T. Premkumar, the Principal of IES, virtually extended his wishes to all the students. In his address, he shared the valuable lessons learned from the pandemic. He advised children to be simple, filled with humility and to embrace spirituality. He appreciated the students for taking part in the national and international competitions and winning laurels for the school. He motivated the students to work hard and make their parents and teachers proud. The teachers of Bhavans made every effort to make every child feel special. Dance and musical performances, picture puzzle, dumb charades, talent show, interactive quizzes, memory games, online games, and skit were staged to entertain the young minds. The virtual platform was filled with smiles and laughter; joy and cheer. It was yet another occasion to conclude that the Bhavanites were truly special.
