Orientation for Grades 5-9
Indian Education School, Kuwait, virtually organised orientation sessions for the benefit of its new batches of grades 5 to 9 and their parents from 27 March to 31 March. The purpose of the programmes was to apprise the parent and student community about the holistic education imparted in the school in line with the directives of the Central Board of Secondary Education, India. The parent community was briefed about the purpose of introducing the new system of appointing ‘Student Welfare Teachers’ for all the classes for the new academic session. The parents were informed that the student welfare teachers would be available every week from Sunday to Wednesday, between 6 p.m. and 6. 30 p.m. on the Zoom platform for discussing the matters related to the academic performance of their children. The attendees were also enlightened about the about the evaluation patterns followed by the CBSE for the board exams and discussed the weighting of activities that are considered for the internal. There was a question-answer session after each presentation, paving the way for a healthy interaction between the parents and the principal. The sessions were indeed fruitful as they could gear up the students and the parents to confidently stride toward a new academic year.
