IES Observes World AIDS Day Indian Education School, Kuwait organized the World AIDS Day programs in its campus to generate awareness among the students about the dangerous disease that wreaks havoc all over the world. The students and staff of IES wore the traditional red awareness ribbon to express their solidarity with aids patients all over the world. In order to generate awareness, Lakshmi Sahiti, Sheetal Sara Joseph, Irene Susan Jose, Alina Sara Abraham, Sharon Justin and Evangeline Sara Sooraj of Grade 11 displayed flashcards and spoke to their peers about the deadly disease AIDS The Science teachers at IES held group discussions and delivered short speeches on the history and effect of the disease on the immune system. The events helped to cultivate general awareness on AIDS in the minds of students, enabling them to become better members of society.
