The Department of Social Science celebrated the ‘World Heritage Day’ on April 18, 2022, with the theme ‘Heritage and Climate’ with the aim to sensitise students to how invaluable and irreplaceable human heritage is, and to recognise the efforts of the various organisations working to preserve it. The event was coordinated by Ms. Ramila Miranda under the guidance of the Heads of the Department, Mr. Binoy Mathew, and Ms. Ann Bindhia. Roshini Nair. Riddhiraj Kumar from grade 10C highlighted the significance of celebrating World Heritage Day and conveyed a strong message on the preservation of heritage sites. The colourfully displayed bulletin boards with the various sites around the world were judged by the Art teachers. The importance of preserving heritage sites recommended by ICOMOS (The International Council on Monuments and Sites) was reiterated by the students in their respective classes. The enthusiastic efforts of the student community and teachers to make the day a wonderfully memorable, was lauded by the Principal, Mr. T Premkumar and the Vice Principals Ms. Meenakshi Nayyar (Senior Wing) and Mr. Binoy Mathew (Middle Wing).
