Indian Educational School in Kuwait is a part of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, a premier institution of education in India. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan was founded in 1938 by Dr. K. M. Munshi, a far-sighted visionary and a practical idealist, who was also one of the chief members of India’s constituent assembly. The Bhavan has the blessings of Gandhiji, the Father of the nation and other stalwarts of the Indian National Movement like Sardar Patel, C. Rajgopalachari, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Rajaji, Jawaharlal Nehru, and many others. It represents Indian culture and reflects the ethos of Indian traditions in its true spirit. Today, the Bhavan is running hundreds of schools in India and over 10 International Kendras including the UK, the USA, Singapore, Australia, South Africa, Portugal, Bahrain, the UAE and Qatar. Kuwait is the first Kendra of Bhavan in the Middle East and Indian Educational School (IES) is the first school in the Gulf Region which has opened in collaboration with this premier institution. IES is an English medium, co-education, day boarding senior secondary school, affiliated to the CBSE, Delhi. The hallmark of the school is quality education. IES aims for the highest standards of academic excellence. IES is a child-centred school which ensures the all-round development of each learner at school. Special care is taken to build a strong character and desirable values in all children.
The School has a centrally air-conditioned building with full-fledged labs for Physics, Chemistry, Biology,Mathematics, English language and Computer Science. In addition to this, there is an Art and Craft room, Music and Dance rooms, an indoor play area and a multi-purpose hall. A unique feature of the school is the big and well stocked central library which has a reference section for students, parents and teachers. Moreover, the school provides facility of class lockers for all students in their respective rooms.

With the support and guidance from the Management, the Principal at the helm of academic and co-curricular activities, the Bhavan’s “Vision and Mission” is totally implemented and safe guarded in this organization. The school has the approval of Private Education Department of Ministry of Education, Kuwait and follows its directives.
IES, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, the fledgling School, has already swelled from a modest 110 students at its inception in September 2006 to around 1850 in April, 2021. The first batch of Class X students of our school appeared for CBSE Class X examination in March, 2009 and came out with flying colours and 100% pass. The School has already been upgraded to a Senior Secondary School by the CBSE. The first batch of class XII that appeared for All India Senior School Certificate Exam in March 2011 came out with a 100% pass and over 90% of them came out with distinction. The victorious journey of the students of IES has been continuing with 100% pass for the last 10 years in the CBSE examinations of classes X and XII. Let us wish good luck to all children appearing for class X and class XII exams in March 2021.
